Privacy Policy

BunStories (the “Service”) creates personalized illustrated storybooks. To do this, we process limited personal data about a child (name, age, gender) and photographs uploaded by a parent or legal guardian.

Data we collect

• Child name, age, and gender (for story personalization)
• Parent/guardian email (to send a download link)
• Uploaded photograph of the child
• Consent confirmation and timestamp
• Generated illustrations and PDF storybook

How we use it

Uploaded photos are sent to a third-party AI image provider (OpenAI) as reference images to generate illustrations. Story text is curated and not generated by an LLM. We do not sell personal data.

Retention

Source photos are automatically deleted after a configurable retention window (default: 7 days) once generation completes or fails. Generated assets may be retained longer so the download link remains available.

Your rights

There are no user accounts; access to a generation is via an unguessable UUID link. Contact the operator of this deployment to request deletion of a generation and associated files.

Processing children's personal data may trigger additional obligations under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, including verifiable parental consent. BunStories implements an explicit consent checkbox and logging, but is not a substitute for legal compliance review.
